The Full Report Opens in a Side Panel

The popup gives you the score. The side panel gives you the why: every check area expands into detailed pass, warn and fail results, displayed right next to the page they describe.

  • Heading tree, image audit table and a JSON-LD schema viewer

Page Speed, Graded Against Google's Thresholds

The Page Speed module measures the page you're on, live: server response time, First Contentful Paint, Largest Contentful Paint, layout shift, transfer weight and request count. Each metric gets graded with the same good and needs-improvement bands Google documents for Core Web Vitals.

  • Real numbers from the live page, not a lab estimate
  • TTFB, FCP, LCP, CLS, page weight and requests
  • No external speed service involved, measured locally

What It Does With Your Data: Nothing

The audit runs inside your browser. The extension has no analytics, no tracking, no account system and no server of its own. The only network requests it ever makes are the ones the audit needs: checking whether your links are broken and fetching the robots.txt of the site you're auditing.

TechSEO Inspector: FAQ

Yes. No premium tier, no trial, no account. I built it as the tool I wanted during my own audit work, and releasing it free is the best marketing my consulting practice could ask for. The extension is about 300 KB and everything in it is included.
No. The analysis runs locally in your browser. The only requests the extension makes go to the site you're auditing: broken link checks and its robots.txt file. There's no analytics, no tracking and no server collecting anything.
It's built for Chrome and installs from the Chrome Web Store. Chromium-based browsers like Edge, Brave and Opera can install Chrome extensions too, so it generally works there as well.
Each check area carries a weighted number of points: meta tags 25, indexability 20, headings, images, schema and page speed 15 each, and links 10. Failed and warned checks cost points in their area, and the weighted total is scaled to a 0 to 100 score.
Yes, three ways: a branded A4 PDF report, a paste-ready text summary copied to your clipboard, and saved snapshots you can compare against later runs to show before and after results.
It replaces the first hour of one. The extension catches on-page and technical basics instantly, which is exactly what it's for. What it can't see: server logs, rendering differences, internal linking across thousands of pages, or strategy. That gap is what the free audit covers.
